PRIMEDISTOM® tracheostomy tubes with Cuff
PRIMEDISTOM® cuffed tracheostomy tubes are made of medical-grade polymer. They are pleasantly flexible and ensure high wearing comfort. The material used is thermo-sensitive and reaches its ideal properties at body temperature.
The high volume low-pressure cuff can be filled through a one-way valve and securely seals the cannula to the tracheal wall. This prevents an accidental aspiration of secretions. The soft cuff fits perfectly into the trachea and ensures a reliable seal, even with a low inflation pressure. The cuff‘s pilot line is integrated in the outer cannula, achieving a rounded and smooth outer shape. This prevents additional irritation of the mucous membranes. The key features of this cannula are its easy handling and comfortable use.
Sieved PRIMEDISTOM® tracheostomy tubes with Cuff are used after a tracheostomy with a complete or partially retained larynx and enable the user to speak. They come with a silicone speaking valve which can simply be attached to the fenestrated inner cannula without connector. In the valve, a flap opens on inspiration allowing air to flow in. The exhaled airflow causes the valve flap to close, thereby enabling phonation.
The cuffed PRIMEDISTOM® tracheostomy tubes with subglottic suction function features an integrated suction line for secretion suctioning above the cuff.
PRIMEDISTOM® cuffed tracheostomy tubes are single-patient products, available in four versions, also in overlength.
